Sales Project Manager

The Sales Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing sales projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Sales Project Manager will also oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle and ensure that all project objectives align with the company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Management:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, milestones, and timelines.
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, and critical paths.
  2. Team Coordination & Leadership:
    • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring all team members are aligned with project goals.
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor progress.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging innovation and problem-solving.
  3. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, sales teams, and senior management.
    • Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any issues or changes in scope.
    • Ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  4. Sales Strategy Implementation:
    • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and translate them into actionable project plans.
    • Ensure that project deliverables meet client expectations and contribute to achieving sales targets.
    • Align project objectives with the company’s overall sales strategy and business goals.
  5. Budget Management:
    • Manage project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and within budget constraints.
    • Track project expenses and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising project quality.
  6. Quality Assurance & Risk Management:
    • Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the highest standards.
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  7. Performance Tracking & Reporting:
    • Monitor and evaluate project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
    • Prepare detailed project reports, including status updates, budget tracking, and performance metrics.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  8. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in project management and sales.
    • Continuously seek ways to improve project management processes and tools.
    • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members on project management best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a sales-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, client relationship management, and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) and CRM systems.
